Palmetto Bay - be on the lookout for 3 men driving a black SUV and conducting scams in the area

“It’s that time of year again.
If you are approached by men offering to seal your drive, trim your trees, or paint your house, be careful. Three men in a black SUV are cruising the area offering these services. They won’t take no for an answer and try to keep you engaged in conversation as long as possible.
The car is driven by a very heavyset middle-aged man with a younger man making the actual come-on. A third man is also in the car. As you probably know, this is a scam either intended to divert you to the front door while someone comes in the rear door or an offer of shoddy work at an inflated price. Either way, please do not fall for it. If you can, get the tag number and call the police.”
