SAVE Dade Presents “Flower Carnival”

On Friday, December 4, the Women’s Committee of SAVE Dade is sponsoring its very first social art event during Art Basel/Art Miami Week 2009.
 
“Flower Carnival” features artwork by renowned South Florida artist, Nelson Viera.  A portion of all art sales will be donated to SAVE Dade. Raffle tickets will be sold at the door, with the main prize being 2 Viera original canvas art pieces, signed by the artist, from his original cube collection.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 at the door.  Admission includes open bar with signature “Orange Blossom Martini” cocktails, sponsored by 4 Orange Vodka.

 
SAVE Dade (“Safeguarding American Values for Everyone”) was created in 1993 to protect gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals from discrimination on the basis of their sexual orientation. SAVE Dade and its education arm, SAVE Dade Foundation, help raise awareness about rights and protections for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
 
The organization has been honored for its human rights work by Amnesty International and is the recipient of the 2008 Non-Profit of the Year Award by the Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.

Event location is 4500 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, and runs 6 to 9pm on Friday, December 4.
